Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a global trend and public relations professionals around the world are constantly developing and implementing methods for lifelong learning. This ensures that junior public relations professionals expand their knowledge and senior professionals keep up to date with the newest trends and developments in the industry. At the same time professionals are able to gain the required CPD points to maintain their designations.

The PRISA CPD programme is carefully planned using the criteria required by SAQA for a recognised professional body and the Global Alliance best practice professional development framework. The SSETA SDL (skills development levy) number is #950721458.

Advanced Level

These workshops are for delegates at a senior management level, (Account director or Public Relations Manager). The delegate already has a wide range of skills but needs to enhance current knowledge and keep up to date with trends and new developments in the industry.

Intermediate Level

The delegate most likely to benefit from these workshops will have two to three year’s Public Relations experience. The delegate may be working at a middle management level (Account Executive) or recently been promoted to an account manager level. The delegate may have a Public Relations qualification with some work experience and has previously attended a related CPD workshop/programme at the introductory level.

Basic Level

These workshops are ideal for newly qualified public relations professionals or those with up to one year’s experience. The delegate may be a Public Relations Assistant or a newly-promoted Public Relations Officer, or a non-public relations practitioner with some responsibility for public relations. The delegate requires basic communication skills and an understanding of how the industry operates.

All Levels

These workshops are aimed at all levels of public relations professionals and cover a broad range of special interest subjects. These workshops investigate specific issues or practices facing organisations today.
