Here at PRISA National Office, there has been a lot of discussion and debate over the last year about how we can journey to the next level. This has involved searching for new opportunities and led to changing the way we do things to give better and bigger results.
And so, we would like to challenge you, our valued members to consider doing the same – journey to the next level……
Your membership card or certificate will indicate what level of membership you are currently on: Affiliate, Public Relations Practitioner (PRP), Chartered Public Relations Practitioner (CPRP) or Accredited in Public Relations (APR).
To our APR’s we would like to say, ‘Well done for achieving the top accolade in the industry. You are at the top of your game so use your designation proudly and widely. Always sign your name confidently and with a flourish, adding ‘APR’ to indicate your status. You’ve earned this, now enjoy the prestige and honour that it brings.
We would like to challenge all our CPRP’s to do a self-audit against the criteria on page 18 of the PRogressions document on the website:
This will give you some goals to achieve and when you can tick all the boxes, give us a call at the office to assess whether you can upgrade to APR.
The same applies to PRP’s. Check the criteria on page 16 to assess whether we can help you to upgrade to CPRP.
If you have only just started your public relations career, then you are in a privileged position to start by doing some career path planning. Read through the criteria for PRP on page 14 of the PRogressions document in the above link and start by setting goals in place to advance your career through the PRogressions plan.
