Thabisile has been a member of PRISA since 2006 and attained the APR designation in 2009. She has two decades of experience in the public relations field in both the public and private sectors. She is a former facilitator and previously a board member of the Provox Centre for Public Relations and Communication.
PRESIDENT ELECTKavitha Kalicharan APR
Kavitha has over fourteen years industry related experience and currently manages a small public relations consultancy, Taurus Communications. She held the positions of Vice-Chairman and Chairman for the Gauteng Region over a period of four years. She also facilitates on various disciplines of public relations for ProVox, the Centre for Communication Management. This year, Kavitha was nominated as one of the judges for the World Public Relations Forum that took place in Toronto in May. As a thought-leader in the industry, Kavitha has presented at many conferences and workshops over the last three years.
VICE PRESIDENTMalesela Maubane CPRP
Malesela has over fourteen years corporate experience and has been Assistant Manager: Industry Transition at the Polokwane Municipality since 2015. He has also been a member of PRISA since 2009, currently serving as Chairperson of the Institute’s Limpopo Regional Committee. He was part of a cohort of public relations and communication management practitioners who spearheaded the re-establishment of the region in 2013, where he was voted as the inaugural secretary until his elevation to the current position of Chairman in March 2015.
