EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE FOR ATTENDING THE PRISA WEBINAR

Subsequent to the Clicks advert debacle, PRISA held a round-table conversation with most senior practitioners to deduce what really happened. Leading the conversation was Dr. Dalien Rene Benecke current PRISA CEO; Merle O’Brien past president and a Futurist who gave a keynote address; Clarrisa Muir and Victor Sibeko who moderated the conversation.

A second Webinar with a broader stakeholder engagement was held this morning Friday, 11 September 2020 dubbed “PRISA Conversation In-Perspective on Clicks Debacle” is done and not yet dusted.

Work has just begun to follow up on all the discussions and issues amongst these e-Commerce, protocols, need for mind shift , moral accountability, ethics, transformation, diversity, inclusion, strategic council and research.

On behalf of PRISA I would like to express my gratitude to all our virtual guests who set aside time to attend this Webinar. Much as I don’t settle for mediocrity I am most humbled with 44 guests at the time of marking the attendance the register. At some stage we had 49 of which some left due to other commitments.

President of PRISA Dr. Dalien Rene Benecke, officially welcomed the virtual guests, declared the Webinar open after giving her critical thought on the matter.

In attendance to name but a few was President Elect Kesagee Nayager, Ms. Merle O’Brien, a Guest Speaker, Ms. Mathe Okaba – CEO of Association of Communication and Advertising who weighed on this debacle.

Academics Clarissa Muir from the University of Johannesburg (UJ), and Ms. Deidre Porthen – Cape Peninsula University of Technology; Mr. Solly Moeng – CEO of Don Valley Reputation managers and convener of AFRICA Brand Summit and Ms. Kerry Sheehan from Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) joining from United Kingdom, London.

To all our guests, practitioners who joined from various parts of the Southern Africa viz. South Africa, Eswatini, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique we are most delighted for taking time out of your busy schedules and interest in your professional development related interventions.

Watch the space for more professional development related interventions in the form of conversations.
