The Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) is delighted to announce that the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) has officially renewed its recognition of PRISA as a professional body and has approved the registration of the designations on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)

Public Relations Practitioner (PRP), Chartered Public Relations Practitioner (CPRP) and the highest level of recognition, the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designations are recognised and registered on the NQF website.

“We are delighted to have these designations renewed every year and applaud the effort put in by Louise Struwig from PRISA office. This is a tedious and demanding assignment conducted on the adhoc basis as and when SAQA decides to conduct an audit. This endorsement enhance PRISA’s well- established over 60-year history in the industry, as well as its industry-recognised public relations designations,” says Victor Sibeko, Chief Executive Office, PRISA.

“Official recognition from a statutory body like SAQA not only acknowledges PRISA as a professional body for public relations and communication management, it also highlights both PRISA and its members’ commitment to adhering to the guidelines and policies stipulated according to the NQF Act of 2008.” added Sibeko.

The recognition assist PRISA in facilitating the necessary Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training and skills development to its members, in order to elevate the profession to the highest level. We would like to encourage members to actively participate in PRISA prorammes in order to earn the CPD points.
